6 things I’m loving This Week

Thanks for joining in on my first ever 6 things post!

1. Favorite moment

Family Summer Time In New England
Choose the small moments.

Taking an evening trip to the beach after work on Sunday was the absolute highlight of our week. Great to break out of routine, get out of the house and see Norah wave to every human and run around like crazy. This left a smile on my face all week.

2 .Great read for the week.

Another reason you should try adding in some meditation into your daily routine.

Just try a few minutes daily!

3. Favorite workout

This was a quick (28 minute) workout I created this week. It did require some dumbbells and a kettlebell. However, if you don’t have those you can swap out those exercises for something with just your body weight, like push ups or burpees …everyone’s favorite. This workout will for sure get you sweating and your heart rate pumping!

4 part workout, each part is 7 minutes.

  1. Kettlebell swings x 1 minute followed by sprints for 1 minute, then repeat the cycle until you have completed 7 minutes
  2. Bicep curl to shoulder press x 1 minute followed by squats for 1 minute, then repeat the cycle until you have completed 7 minutes
  3. High Knees x 1 minute followed by glute bridges x 1 minute, then repeat the cycle until you have completed 7 minutes.
  4. Walking lunges x 1 minute followed by butt kicks for 1 minute, then repeat the cycle until you have completed 7 minutes.
  5. Stretch and you’re done!

5. Favorite recipe

Ok guys these enchiladas were OUT OF THIS WORLD. We like spicy food around here, so I used 3 chipotle’s in adobo, but you could totally reduce that for your likings. I also made a batch of cilantro lime jasmine rice to go with these. Perfection. Try them out!

6. Favorite item

Are you getting enough water in? It’s so easy to forget to drink water. I always love a fun water bottle to make it more enticing to get my water in. I recently got this water bottle and love it! I need to order one for Norah too, since she keeps taking mine. This is just a future glimpse of her borrowing my stuff all the time!
